A Thought. by Vibreo

All things are possible with love. This is told to us throughout the new testament, infact love is so important that prophecy and right action without love is meaningless. So my thought was this, and hopefully you can help me out here. As far as I understand people of the church (nuns, priests etc.) are not allowed get married or have relations because one cannot love God and another at the same time. So the power of love has a limit?? or are they contradicting themselves?? I think its the latter. They have to be contradicting themselves.
Now along this line of thought I have come across a tangent. What is love?? I think I tried earlier to define it, but I am now 6 months different. So allow me to try again to respond to this question. I believe now that love is a medium. A spiritual element. Love connects us to all things whether they be inanimate, divine, or human. Love allows a relationship between two things because it connects them. All things can love, or put more correctly, have love. Even the most disgusting human is capable of love, even if its only self love. So what does this mean?? How does one know if he loves another? How does one measure love? I don't know, but I like to think that Love is infinite. So even the smallest love can grow to gigantic proportions, this is accomplished through recognition of love, sometimes one must try and gauge love conciously and other times love's presence is simply felt. Even though they are recognized differently both are equally valid and both are equally love.

Vibreo
The Shoemaker. By Alberto Cortez. Translation Vibreo

God took the form of a beggar, and came to earth. He found the house of the Shoemaker and told him "Brother, I am poor with not a cent to my name. I have only these sandals they are torn and I have no one else to turn to." The Shoemaker told him "I'm so tired of everyone always coming to take and never give." So the beggar replied "I can give you what you need." The Shoemaker looking skeptically at the beggar said "You could give me the million dollars that I need to be happy??" The Lord answered "I can give you ten times that but in exchange for something." The Shoemaker asked "In exchange for what?" "In exchange for your legs." The Shoemaker responded "Why would I want ten million dollars if I won't be able to walk?" So the Lord said "I can give you 100 million dollars in exchange for your.... arms." The Shoemaker answered " Why would I want 100 million dollars if I won't even be able to eat by myself?" So finally the Lord said "Fine, I can give you one billion dollars in exchange for your eyes." The Shoemaker thought for a second and said "Why would I want one billion dollars if I'll never again see my wife and my sons or my friends!!?" And the Lord responded "Ah my brother, what a fortune you have!! that you've never valued."
